So this is what two looks like? I have to say, it’s quite adorable. The random tantrums, the bold attitude, and the surprise hugs are what make you officially a toddler. Is it just me or are people actually afraid to fully relax and enjoy this season due to all the breaking news released lately? It’s good to know that people are staying alert and cautious. I hope that everyone is staying safe, healthy, and positive through hard times like these. With that being said, we have to continue living. No matter how hard the challenge is, life is a beautiful gift and opportunity.

New York, New York! It’s been too long! When an opportunity like this arises, I grasp it. I would never miss the chance of going to New York City. Growing up, my parents used to take us there for “business” only. They would visit the embassy of the Russian federation to renew their documents. I would be so desperate to spend more time there but it was never a “play” trip. I chose to tag along even when it wasn’t convenient for me. It was always a breathtaking experience for me. I loved the busyness of the crowds and the honking cars. I dreamt that one day, I will be living in NYC, working as an editor at one of my favorite magazines. But life chose a different path for me.

My husband and I were blessed enough to have our wish granted; that was to start a family of our own. Heaven sent us a daughter and we enjoy every minute of her ambitious, energy-draining, little heart. We get to call her “ours” no matter how hard it gets.

I am the one who spends the most time with her throughout the day. As she lives her life blissfully unaware, I plant seeds into her. I watch her mimic me in every way as she lives and grows. As a result, there will always be a trace of me in my daughter’s nature. I’m grateful that God can protect Josephine’s heart from my (unintentional) mistakes.
